Grass identification training day
Torr Farm, Auchencairn
Part of the Kirkcudbrightshire Botany Group activities.
The day will be limited to a maximum of 12 – first come, first served.
Morning spent indoors looking at grass structure, using keys and identifying one or two common grasses. Followed by the afternoon session outside trying to ID whatever species we find.
Please bring hand lens, notebook and pencil, lunch and any grass book you have. Tea and coffee available all day; one microscope provided, as well as fresh and pressed specimens for reference. All are welcome.
