Marsh and merse plants ID day

RSPB Crook of Baldoon

This field day will provide an introduction to saltmarsh habitiats. Join SWSEIC staff and local botanist Chris Miles for a walk on merse and marsh habitats at Crook of Baldoon RSPB Reserve. The day will focus on recognising some of the key species used in recording for the National Plant monitoring Scheme (NPMS).

The event will involve walking and exploring away from the main tracks and paths and whilst we will not be walking long distances partcipants should have a reasonable degree of fitness to explore a range of habitats. Strong footwear (wellies/walking boots) and appropriate outdoor clothing will be required. Participants should bring their own pack lunch.

This event is being run in partnership with the NPMS and the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere.
