Nature Network Celebration
New Cumnock Town Hall
The East Ayrshire Coalfield Environment Initiative (CEI) will be holding an event in New Cumnock on the 1st March 2018 to celebrate the successful of the Nature Network (EcoCo LIFE) project.
Since 2013 Nature Network has delivered 450 hectares of peatland habitat enhancement in the East Ayrshire Coalfields. Habitat and species surveys and practical tasks were carried out with our dedicated volunteers over 114 events (so far). Through awareness events CEI have promoted the importance of peatlands across Coalfield communities and taken hundreds of young people out to experience a real live peat bog in their local area.
