Dragonfly ID day at Barstobrick
Barstobrick Visitor Centre
Join SWSEIC staff to learn about our local dragonflies and how to identify them at the Barstobrick Visitor Centre near Ringford.
Meet at 1pm (earlier if you want to join us for lunch!) and we will explore the ponds around the Centre to look for adult dragonflies and damselflies on the wing.
The event will be led by SWSEIC Centre Manager Mark Pollitt and Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire? Project officer Aisling Gribbin.
This is an outdoor event, so please check the weather before you travel and bring suitable outdoor clothing for the conditions. The tracks around the ponds are well surfaced but we may wander a little of the main paths to look for dragonflies so please wear strong footwear (walking shoes/boots recommended).
We will return to the visitor centre café at the end of the event so bring some money for tea and cake!
