Butterfly ID Workshop North Ayrshire

Interested in recording butterflies but not sure where to start? Come along to one of Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire’s Butterfly ID workshops!
This informal course will provide a general introduction to all the butterflies found in Ayrshire, their ecology, how to identify them, and how to locate them. After a morning classroom session lead by Scott Donaldson of Butterfly Conservation, we will head out on site the the Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve at Gailes Marsh to practice our butterfly ID skills.
No previous butterfly recording experience necessary – just a keen interest in nature and an enjoyment of seeing and identifying the wildlife around you.
Each course is free, but any donations to help cover the costs of running the courses would be gratefully received.
