Reptile Training Workshop South Ayrshire

Barrhill Primary School, Barrhill, South Ayrshire. KA26 0PP

Interested in recording reptiles but not sure where to start? Come along to one of Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire’s Reptile training workshops!

This informal course will provide a general introduction to all the reptiles found in Scotland, their ecology, how to identify them, and how to locate them. To try to get a glimpse some reptiles, we will first head out to Feoch Meadows Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve. Here we will check some refugia which have been placed on the site to increase our chances of seeing these shy and elusive species. We will then head back to Barrhill primary school for a short classroom session, lead by reptile guru, Erik Paterson from the Clyde Amphibian and Reptile Group.

No previous reptile recording experience necessary – just a keen interest in nature and an enjoyment of seeing and identifying the wildlife around you.
