BSBI Identifying Common Grasses Workshop

If you have a good basic knowledge of plant ID (perhaps after attending a BSBI Identifying Wildflower Families workshop) but feel somewhat intimidated when it comes to grasses, this second-level course promises to help. We will concentrate on the 20 grasses you are most likely to come across regularly in neutral grassland, and this workshop will give you a flying start at grass ID. The booklet “Start to Identify Grasses”, by Faith Anstey, will accompany the workshop and is free to participants (RRP £3.50).
Dr Chris Miles and Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland (BSBI) tutors will offer expert guidance, helpful worksheets, plenty of hands-on study and a practical fieldwork session in the afternoon.
