Ballantrae festival of food and drink

The wind and rain along the sea front at Ballantrae did not stop people coming out to experience the amazing range of food, drink and music on offer at this years festival. Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire attended alongside the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire biosphere. Both organisations are hosted by the Southern Uplands Partnership.

Setting up and getting ready to go

We had the opportunity to speak to a range of people from all across Ayrshire and parts of Galloway, and even folk visiting from the south of England. I was enthused by the interest in the project, and the connection people in Ayrshire had with their local environment.

Tasty!

After a busy morning we had a sample of the food on offer, and were able to chat to other exhibitors about the Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire project. It was a great day out and well worth considering a visit if you are in the area in June 2018.

With my buddy Marie from the Biosphere team
