D&G Wildlife Review 2015

Published in spring 2016, the Dumfries & Galloway Wildlife Review 2015. The Review replaced our former printed newsletter ERC News. Over the past few years we had reduced the frequency of ERC News to once per year, choosing instead to provide news of events and feedback via email which is easier, quicker and more cost-effective. We do appreciate, however, that there are many people who do not have access to email and that others enjoy having a paper copy to read and browse at their leisure.

The Review is more extensive than our former newsletter, and (we hope) a little more eye-catching. It includes feedback on wildlife recording in 2015 for a range of taxonomic groups, and highlights opportunities for people to get involved in 2016. We aim to vary the topics and the taxonomic groups covered each year to provide a diverse and interesting range of articles with a local focus. We are, of course, indebted to the authors and their contributions in the Review, without which the publication would not have been possible; these include local experts and county recorders as well as co-ordinators of national schemes and surveys.
